Academic Year [2005 – 2008], Activities of AAWA

Year 2005:
 
The foundation for “Operation target 2020” was laid on 15th august 2005 with the inspiration of my Grand Father Sri Mattaparty Satyam.On this occasion, Dictionaries (English – Telugu) to the top 10 students of 10th class and top 5 students of 7th class were distributed in the name of my grand mother Late Syamalamba garu. The amount for the operation was the contribution from my first salary working with Embed Technologies.
During this period it came to my notice that a student by name Nookaratnam of Kakinada secured above 70% in her S.S.C examination. She was given admission at Satya Sai Junior college into Intermediate (M.P.C, E.M) with nominal fee. Her requirements for the first year intermediate text books were provided by me.
 
Year 2006:
 
The Second step for the achievement of the thousands of miles was in year 2006, All in one guides were distributed to the students appearing for the 10th class public examinations.
The third step is on April 2006, One set of intermediate 2nd year text books were distributed to the student by name Nooka Ratnam who is appearing for intermediate public examination in 2007.
In April 2006, the three steps of mine has inspired my colleagues, friends, classmate and others, to march along with me to reach operation target 2020. All their contributions helped in extending our services from donating text books and dictionaries to Note Books and School uniforms.
 
The details are as follows:
 
   1.During this period, Dictionaries (English – Telugu) to the top 10 students of 10th class and top 5 students of 7th class were distributed, which is the contribution from my side.
   2.Long Note books (25) donated to “Orphan Children” of “KAMAAKSHI PEETAM at “Amalapuram”.
   3.Note books (15) and Intermediate “Text books to 6 students.
   4.School Uniforms to 13 students
   5.Long Note books (60) to the School children who are highly in need of them.
   6.Actively distributed Clothes (Collected from various sources) in the flood affected areas in the village, "Dontikurru".
   7.In October 2006, Vidya volunteers of schools joined their foot marched with us in giving FREE polytechnic coaching to the 10th class Students.
   8.In December 2006, funds were utilized in donating Test papers to intermediate students.
 
Year 2007:
 
The activities of 2006 were carried to 2007 also. In addition, Kamala, who is pursuing her First Year Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation (EIE) Branch at PYDAH Engineering College, Visakhapatnam, has secured 20,000 Rank in EAMCET- 2007 without coaching, was funded with Rs. 5000 every year during her course by one of my good friends in Bangalore.
 
Year 2008:
 
In 2008, Apart from the regular activities of the operation target 2020
 
[1] A Career Guidance program for the all the successful students of the class 10th and intermediate students.
[2] A 20 days FREE Polytechnic Coaching campus was conducted taking the help of local teachers for the 14 students. We decided that Friendship day (First Sunday in August) of every year to be celebrated as “Operation Target 2020” day. So we had celebrated 3rd August as Operation Target day in this year 2008. On this occasion the following are distributed.
 
The details are as follows:
 
   1.250 Pocket dictionaries distributed to 6th, 9th and 10th Class students.
   2.Dictionaries to the top 10 students in 10th class.
   3.Dictionaries to the Selected 3 students of B.Tech in IIIT and One polytechnic student.
   4.ICET material to 4 students.
   5.AUCET Entrance (Chemistry) book to one student.
   6.Engineering Text Books to one student. (B.Tech Civil Engineering , AU).
   7.Polytechnic Text Books to First year Diploma in Computer Science branch student.
   8.Group-II material to one student.
 
Currently with the help of two teachers, “Operation Target 2020” is conducting FREE Polytechnic Entrance Coaching Classes right from the beginning of the academic year. Recently 5 Polytechnic Entrance books were distributed to the students.
